Elections in Cyprus

Mr Antonis Haji Roussos was elected as a member of the Cyprus Parliament for a further five year period, representing a minority community in Cyprus. This is his third successive term that he has been elected for this position.
He expressed his appreciation and respect to all those who supported him. “I will now work to bring together our people so that, united, we can achieve the community’s goals towards its survival as refugees. At the same time every effort will be exerted to make possible the return to our homeland in the North of Cyprus which is under Turkish occupation since 1974. There is a lot of work to be done.”
Mr. Haji Roussos is also one of the founding members of the Cyprus Nordic Business Association, which is an association under the auspices of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. On 24th May 2006 he was elected as the Vice President of the board, primarily responsible for the promotion of the business activity between Cyprus and Sweden.
