Jurisdictions

There are many countries around the world that offer tax incentives. Consulco offers company formation and management services in more than twenty jurisdictions. The systems of these jurisdictions all have their individual characteristics and applications.

Before choosing the jurisdiction and type of company that best suits your needs we advice you to contact one of our offices in order to receive more comprehensive and personalised information. However, as a short guideline we present below a list of considerations to take into account and suitable applications.

First, some of the issues you might want to review before choosing where to incorporate your company could include:
  • What is your main reason for using a foreign company?
  • What types of business do you conduct?
  • Where is your business located?
  • Where are your clients located?
  • Where are you trading?
  • Where do you intend to invest?
  • What is your budget?
When reviewing the different jurisdictions some of the issues to compare include:
  • Suitability for present purpose and function of the company;
  • Respectability ;
  • Double Tax Treaty Network ;
  • Tax regime of the jurisdiction;
  • Set up and annual operating costs.

This is not intended as in-depth information of all possibilities, and we remind the client that the tax and other benefits which can be obtained by the use of foreign entities usually depend upon the country of residence of the beneficial owner and its anti-avoidance legislation. Regard must also be given to the requirements of any other country with which the foreign entity might carry on its business. Consulco recommends our clients to obtain proper legal consultation and international tax advice before the utilization of any foreign company structures.
